The Linguimpics are a 5-round, 5-week online English language competition for GV students from Starachowice, Skarzysko and Kielce, on our Moodle website. Each round runs for about a week. Points from all rounds are added together to decide the winner at each level. The more rounds you enter, the more your chance of winning.

GV Online Linguimpics – to coroczny,internetowy konkurs języka angielskiego,który odbywa sie od 2012 r. Uczniowie GV ze Starachowic,Kielc i Skarżyska Kam.biorą udział w pięciu rundach konkursu,suma punktów z poszczególnych rund decyduje o zwycięzcy.Celem jest zachęcenie uczniów do nauki angielskiego w wolnym czasie – udowodniono,iż regularny kontakt z językiem jest kluczowym czynnikiem w skutecznym jego opanowaniu .
W tym roku w konkursie wzięło udział ponad 80 uczniów.

The winners are in! After five weeks of competition between students at GV schools across the region, the final results of the GV Linguimpics 2015 have been announced. Well done to all students who took part and to the winners for each level.
Congratulations especially to Jakub (J1), Magda (G2), Ola (G2), Pawel (G3), Martyna (GL4), Zuzia (F1), Adrian (F1) and Kasia (A1) from GV Starachowice who won their levels. Certificates and prizes will arrive shortly!
The GV Online Linguimpics are an annual online language competition first held in 2012 to which GV students from Starachowice, Kielce and Skarszysko are invited to enter. Students take part in various rounds with the points from each added together to decide the final winners. The aim of the competition, as well as hopefully being fun, is to encourage students to do a little in English at home every week - it is a proven fact that regular exposure to language over a period of time is a key factor in effective language learning. This year over 80 students took part in the competition.

Welcome to Global Village School of English Starachowice.
Our school was founded in 1994 and has now taught thousands of local children, teenagers and adults to speak English. We are now at the stage where we are teaching the children of some of our original students and we hope to meet our first school grandchild soon!
